The Cottage Bentota is a stylish village homestay and one of the finest villas in Sri Lanka with private pool and only minutes away from the beaches and popular beachside restaurants and bars. The Villa offers a unique plunge & tanning pool, garden barbeque, home cinema and three comfortable well appointed bedrooms. The property is fantastic for a group of friends, families with kids and is intimate enough to be enjoyed equally by a couple travelling alone.

The Property is fully equipped for self-catering and a personal cook can also be arranged on request. We also offer daily housekeeping and a pool & garden service to keep the property looking its best during your stay.

Accommodation

The cottage offers stylish and comfortable accommodation across three air-conditioned rooms. The master bedroom is a king suite with garden views and an attached en-suite bathroom. Across the living room and facing the gardens and pool are another two smaller bedrooms offering double and twin beddings. The property can comfortably sleep up to 6 and a baby cot can also be arranged.

Cooking & Dining

If you prefer self-catering the kitchen is stocked with all the right things to make a meal. Utensils, pots and pans, olive oil, salt and pepper. There’s also a Nespresso machine with a selection of pods, milk, sugar and tea.

If you really want to enjoy the holiday I highly recommend you consider booking the services of a cook for your stay. Our cook is very talented and will offer you a balanced variety of tastes and flavors including some very authentic Sri Lankan rice & curries. A relaxed cooking class and demonstration in the kitchen can also be arranged if you are interested.

We do also have a garden barbeque so don’t waste time to visit the seafood market and pickup your fresh jumbo prawns, lobsters and crabs!

In the area

Bentota is a peaceful and sleepy coastal town with much on offer to experience. We recommend visits to the beach, Bawa gardens, seafood & fruit markets, temples, river safari’s and mangrove catamaran trips. In the town you will discover lovely antique shops, gem merchants and traditional carving, craft and tea stores. Buy yourself a sarong, grab a king coconut and get out and enjoy all that Bentota has on offer!

Bentota is also nicely located making day-trips to Galle, Colombo, Sinharaja Rainforest and Udawalawe National Park very easy to arrange. Please get in touch to discuss your interests and I will be happy to assist with your plans.
